Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ University of California has again been named among the Best Regional Universities in the West and Best Value Schools by U.S. News & World Report in its annual ranking of universities and colleges in the United States.

Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ is ranked #16 in the category Best Value Schools – Regional Universities (West) of the U.S. News & World Report 2026, climbing four places since last year!

Additionally, Á½ÐÔÉ«ÎçÒ¹ continues to be ranked in the top third (#31) Best Regional Universities (West) category.

The ranking reflects Á½ÐÔÉ«Îçҹ’s strength in academic quality and graduate outcomes. Measures included in the ranking were graduation rates, faculty resources, social mobility, peer opinion, and retention rates.

The western region includes California, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Hawaii, Arizona, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Alaska. Regional universities provide a full range of undergraduate and master's programs.
